Bendataway's primary
purpose is to present all of my solo and collaborative projects
as well as my writing and design work. Starting almost five years
ago, this site has been an ongoing process of renovation and personal
discovery.
Bendataway began as an online portfolio and continues to serve
as a public documentation of my work and ideas. However, as my knowlegde
of the web has grown, so has my interest in working through this
medium. The web serves as a playful atmosphere between the practical
and the metaphysical; between the technological and mythological.
I have always had a fascination with archives for the way they
preserve tradition. The history of information and the way it is
stored creates a robust mythology. I like to think of this site
as a little archive of data and my work as the larger narrative.
I want to put it out here so that others can take it and run with
it.
The next major accomplishment of Bendataway will be to create a
space for my writing and events. Following that addition, I will
be developing an interactive sound environment.
Constant changes will be made to maintain a website that will stay
true to my philosophies and practice. I specialize in
organizing large collections of work for the web, and I work well
with other artists. I design to promote social or cultural events,
artists, organizations, and entrepreneurs.
